There are five powerful character classes to choose from in Diablo 4, but how do you know which one ranks the best? Well, it really comes down to your preference. The best character class for you will depend on whether you prefer ranged combat, close quarters combat, or personal combat. It depends on whether you prefer dealing damage with magic or just hitting things with big weapons.

No matter what you want to play, there's a course to suit you. We know everyone has their favorites, but here we rank all five of his character classes in Diablo 4 from best to worst. I've also listed the reasons for my rankings and highlighted some reasons for choosing certain character classes.

1. Druid

2. Rogue

Do you like playing a character who is fast and can run around enemies? In this case, the best character class in Diablo 4 is Rogue. Capable of equipping ranged weapons and his two one-handed weapons, Rogue has a variety of construction options that allow him to choose between attacking enemies up close or from afar.

Don't be fooled by its small size. They can not only deal a large amount of damage, but also combine effective skill options.

3. Barbarian

As you can imagine, the Barbarian is the perfect class for those who like to get involved in intense action and face off against enemies. With his natural 10% damage reduction bonus, the Barbarian is the most tanky class in the base lineup and can take quite a bit of offense.

The drawback of barbarians is that they have few options when fighting enemies from a distance. Also, if you liked his powerful version of Whirlwind in Diablo 3, you'll probably be disappointed, as the equivalent version isn't as interesting. But with the ability to equip all four of his weapons at once, including two powerful two-handed weapons, they're truly a force to be reckoned with.

4. Necromancer

Necromancers were once considered the best character class in Diablo 4, but due to numerous updates they fell by the wayside and are now pretty bland. This is mainly because the Necromancer's unique ability, summoning, is not very useful in the endgame.

This means that if you want to deal real damage, you should abandon them and instead focus on the Spear or Shadow damage you build over time. However, they are probably the coolest looking of all the categories, and there are some nifty cosmetics to choose from. All they need is a good update and they can get back on their feet.

5. Sorcerer

Playing as a wizard or witch in Diablo 2 and 3 was considered an easy mode. But that's not the case with Diablo 4. Basically, the skills are not very powerful, making it a fairly mediocre class. .

To further confuse the issue, their best base skill essentially makes them a melee character, which is weird. Don't get me wrong. You can build a very powerful magician (or witch) if you put in the time and effort, but overall I think this is the least interesting class, and that's a real shame.
