As Diablo 4 season 2 draws to a close, players are curious about the themes, updates, and plot of season 3. Blizzard has announced the official dates for an upcoming developer livestream that will answer all our questions.

The developers are keeping information about Season 3 under wraps, only offering a few hints about what we can expect. Here's what we know so far about Diablo 4 Season 3.

Diablo 4 season 3 release date

When you log into Diablo 4, you'll see that the start date for Season 3 is January 23, 2024. This is also the end date of the Season 2 Battle Pass.

Blizzard plans to release a developer update that will be broadcast on January 18, 2024 at 9am PT.

Blizzard promises to keep you updated on Season 3's gameplay enhancements, battle pass, and quality of life improvements. There will also be more information about the new leaderboard system and The Gauntlet.

What do we know so far about Season 3?

Diablo 4 Season 3 is being kept under wraps, but there are a few things you can expect from the upcoming season.

New leaderboards and weekly dungeon challenges are first. The Gauntlet is a fixed-seeded, non-linear dungeon where the creatures, their locations, and attachments are always the same.

Gauntlet leaderboards are another element players can look forward to in Season 3. The leaderboard is updated weekly and displays the top 1,000 Gauntlet participants each time.
