Diablo 4: New features and changes coming in the new season

It's been over a month since Diablo 4 launched, and Blizzard is gearing up for a new season of the online action role-playing game. Season 2: Season of Blood launched on October 17th, bringing new seasonal game features and an all-new questline for players to take on the new vampire threat.

"Under the orders of the Dark Master, a newly reformed army of rapacious vampires has set its sights on Sanctuary. While the Master's sinister plot remains shrouded in mystery, their quest for the blood of innocents...causes a stir, people Learned to hunt hunters.

In keeping with the vampire theme, players will be able to unlock new vampiric powers to fight devastating threats and five new end-game bosses. Starting with Season of Blood, you'll be able to target specific unique and super unique drops, allowing you to farm late-game items more effectively.

Other quality-of-life enhancements for players include better gem inventory management, adjustments to certain status effects, and prestige rewards that carry over to future seasons. "Once Eternal or previous Season Realm characters earned Paragon Points, Skill Points, Potion Costs, and Orvor's ability upgrades, that now carries over to the new Season," Blizzard explained.

As part of Blizzard's pledge to be more transparent about future updates, you can be sure we'll be hearing more about Season of Blood and the changes it brings in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we still have about two months to savor the "season of malignant."
