Diablo 4: How to get the Oculus

Loot is the lifeblood of Diablo 4, and Season of Blood introduces a host of new legendary and unique items, including the Oculus, a unique wand exclusive to mages.

Oculus items provide wizards with the teleportation enchantment for free. Instead of dodging every time you dodge, you'll be randomly teleported to a nearby direction. This puts some distance between the wizard and the enemy, which is great for the class since they usually attack from a distance.

Obtaining Oculus items is much more difficult than actually using them. If you want to find Oculus in Diablo 4, here's what you need to do.

Where to Get Oculus

Oculus drops from the final boss of Diablo 4, the Beast in the Ice. Before you can find the materials needed to summon this boss or the beast in the ice, you first need to unlock World Tier 3 and start the game.

Diablo 4 Glacial Fissure Nightmare Mark.

To summon the Ice Beast, you need to collect an item called Distilled Fear. Distilled Fear can be obtained by clearing a level 30 Nightmare Dungeon. Nightmare Dungeons are harder versions of the normal dungeons in Sanctuary, but to unlock these difficult versions you must craft Nightmare Marks.

Once you have 9 Distilled Horrors, return to the Occultist and craft the Glacial Crack Nightmare Mark. Start the dungeon with this new Nightmare Mark in your inventory.

It is not that difficult to defeat the beast in the ice and snow. I think this is easier than other late game bosses like Gregor and Duriel. After defeating the level 85 boss, you can loot the Oculus and unique items such as the Skeleton Torch and the rare mount trophy.
