A Diablo 4 player has written an item-farming guide that seriously simplifies item grinding.
Knowing where and how to get better gear is paramount in Diablo IV. One player tries to help others make this happen, by figuring out which enemies drop what type of loot, and in which areas they can be found.
For example, if I'm a ranger, I can see that Feral's Den and Whispering Pines are good places for me to get a new crossbow. Also, if I want to buy a new dagger for my ranger, I should either hone worshiper's sanctuary over and over or hone luxuriant woods, since both worshipers and bandits have a greater chance of dropping that type of item.
Many on Reddit thanked this player for reducing the amount of time they had to grind for better gear.
There's a bit of debate as to whether some of the other stats for this player are accurate, for example, certain enemies are said to have a "5x" chance to drop a certain type of item. While that's still being debated, what's not up for debate is where you can find location-specific item types more broadly.
If you're looking to get better gear, especially in preparation for post-game content at the end of Diablo IV's main campaign, you'll want to use this chart to help you. It's also worth mentioning that once you beat the main Diablo 4 campaign with a character, don't waste time honing that campaign when you create new characters.
