Diablo 4: Blizzard Announces New Season Name - Season of Blood

Blizzard recently announced that a second season of Diablo 4 is about to begin, titled "Season of Blood." The new season will start on October 17.
The highlight of the second season was the addition of a new companion named Erys, a vampire hunter. Iris was introduced in the cinematic trailer released at Gamescom 2023. The character is voiced by actress and producer Gemma Chan.
During an announcement at Gamescom 2023's Opening Night Live, Diablo boss Rod Ferguson revealed that players will gain vampiric powers and embark on a questline to track down and fight the vampire lord.
In addition, Season 2 introduces 5 new bosses and a re-emerging end-game boss that can target specific unique and super unique items as drops. Also updated are reputation rewards, gems and storage (gems no longer take up space in your inventory), resistances, and status effects.
Additionally, Paragon Points, Skill Points, Potion Charges, and Ovol ability upgrades earned in previous seasons or through Eternal or previous Seasonal Realm characters will now carry over to the new season.
Blizzard also revealed that Diablo 4 has reached 12 million players. Season 1 is underway, and to keep players happy, the developers released patch 1.1.1 on August 8th. This patch has received positive feedback after previous updates caused controversy and backlash.
Blizzard has assured fans that beyond the third season, it will continue to respond to community feedback and improve upon it. Diablo IV has seen strong sales since its launch, and despite all the controversies surrounding the game, it remains popular.
